Day 1 | Cusco: Arrive in Cusco, and begin your adventure with a Cusco city tour to Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara, Temple of the Sun, and Tambomachay. Spend the day acclimatizing before beginning your Classic Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu.
Day 2 | Cusco: Embark on a Sacred Valley tour beginning in Pisaq where you will explore the Pisaq ruins and colorful Pisaq Market. Venture on to Ollantaytambo to see the ruins before returning back to Cusco.
Day 3 | Inca Trail | Cusco to Wayllabamba: Begin the amazing Classic Inca Trail at the famed trailhead, Kilometer 82. Cross the Urubamba River, and wander through forests of native plants past the ruins of Llactapacta. Spend the night in Wayllabamba campsite.
Inca Trail Hike Difficulty: Moderate ; 12km – 5 hours
Day 4 | Inca Trail | Wayllabamba to Pacaymayo: The second day of your inca trail trek it will be the longest and hardest day as you will cross Dead Woman’s Pass (4,200ms).After you will descend until you get to Pacaymayo campsite.
Inca Trail Hike Difficulty: Strenuous ; 11 km – 7 hours
Day 5 | Inca Trail | Pacaymayo to Wiñay Wayna: On the most enjoyable day of your trek, you will visit the Inca sites of Runkurakay and Sayakmarka as you descend towards Wiñay Wayna. You will camp at the Wiñay Wayna campsite where you can take advantage of the hot shower if you so choose.
Inca Trail Hike Difficulty: Moderate ; 12 km – 6 hours
Day 6 | Inca Trail | Wiñay Wayna to Cusco via Machu Picchu: Rise early for the most exciting day of your Classic Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu. Today, you will cross through the Sun Gate and make your entrance into the iconic Incan ruins. Spend the day exploring the park with a guided tour before returning to Ollantaytambo by train, and then travel on to Cusco by private transfer.
