This isn’t just a trip—it’s a once-in-a-lifetime adventure through Bolivia’s most spectacular landscapes. Are you ready?
Crossing the Uyuni Salt Flats – Twice!-Drive across the endless white expanse of the world’s largest salt desert—not once, but twice!
Enjoy a picnic in the middle of the Salar—a truly surreal experience.
Sunset Over the Salar + Exclusive Toast-Return to the Salar at golden hour for a spectacular mirror-like sunset.
Exclusive Stay at Coquesa Lodge – The Best View of Uyuni
Geysers & a Thermal Bath at the Edge of the World-Walk through the boiling geysers of Sol de Mañana, where the earth hisses and bubbles at 16,000 feet.
“Some places change the way you see the world. Uyuni is one of them. A vast, blinding expanse of salt that stretches beyond imagination—a place where reality bends and time stands still. And this is just the beginning…”
The adventure kicks off at 10:00 AM sharp, so we recommend taking the early morning flight from La Paz, which arrives before this time. We’ll be waiting for you at the airport—because adventure should always start stress-free.
A post-apocalyptic landscape where old locomotives rust in the desert, remnants of a railway dream that never quite came true. You can climb them, photograph them, or just take in the eerie beauty of this forgotten place.
Here, salt isn’t just a mineral—it’s a way of life. Watch locals harvest and craft everything from salt bricks to salt sculptures, using techniques passed down for generations.
A boundless white desert. A place where the sky and earth merge into an optical illusion. The silence here is absolute—except for the crunch of salt beneath your feet.
At 1:00 PM, we arrive at Isla Sajchilla, a true hidden gem. Unlike the crowded Isla Incahuasi, Sajchilla remains untouched by mass tourism. No crowds. No lines. Just raw nature, towering cacti, and an otherworldly silence.
Why is this place special?
Here, we stop for a one-of-a-kind open-air lunch, surrounded by 10-meter-high cacti and a landscape that feels straight out of a dream.
After lunch, we take a 30-minute hike to explore the island’s unique rock formations and untouched terrain.
By mid-afternoon, we head to Chantani, where bizarre art, ancient fossils, and mysterious stone houses give you a glimpse into the region’s past. The entrance fee is just 15 bolivianos, but what you discover here is priceless.
At 4:30 PM, we check into our secluded eco-lodge in Coquesa, located right next to the Salar.
🔹 We are the ONLY agency that stays here, offering an exclusive experience away from the tourist crowds.
🔹 Choose your style: Salt Room or Stone Room – both uniquely crafted from natural materials.
🔹 All rooms include: private bathroom, heating, and extra-warm blankets to keep you cozy.
🔹 The tranquility of Coquesa makes this a true escape—no city noise, just pure nature.
At 6:00 PM, we head back to the Salar. The sky erupts in shades of orange, pink, and violet, reflecting perfectly on the salt. You stand there, drink in hand, enjoying local piqueos (Bolivian appetizers) as the sun disappears into the horizon.
By 8:00 PM, we’re back at the lodge, where a warm three-course dinner awaits.
Snuggle up in your cozy salt or stone room, ready for another day of adventure.
“Waking up in Coquesa, on the very edge of the Salar, feels like waking up on another planet. The silence is absolute, the air crisp, and the horizon endless. But today, the adventure takes a new turn—we leave the infinite white and enter the high-altitude wilderness, where flamingos dance on mirror-like lagoons, and the landscape shifts from surreal to spectacular.”
The day starts early with a hearty breakfast in our secluded lodge. With the Salar just outside, it’s the kind of morning that makes you appreciate the moment. Hot coffee, fresh bread, eggs, and local treats fuel us for the long journey ahead.
We set out once more onto the blinding white expanse of the Uyuni Salt Flats. The feeling of driving across this endless horizon, with nothing but sky and salt in all directions, is something you’ll never forget.
Rising out of the salt like an island in a frozen sea, Isla Incahuasi is one of the most iconic spots in Uyuni.
📌 Entrance fee: 30 BOB per person.
Leaving the salt flats behind, we head to Colcha K, a small village tucked away in the Bolivian highlands. Unlike Uyuni town, this is where you see real Andean life—quiet, slow, and deeply connected to nature.
We stop for lunch in a simple but cozy local restaurant, where you get a taste of Bolivian highland cuisine. Expect fresh, locally sourced ingredients and flavors that reflect the harsh but beautiful land around you.
Many have heard of the Uyuni Salt Flats, but few know about the Salar de Chiguana. This lesser-known salt flat, with its railway tracks cutting across the barren landscape, feels like something out of a sci-fi movie.
We stop to take it in—the silence, the isolation, the sheer scale of it all.
As we gain altitude, the landscape begins to transform. From this viewpoint, we take in the dramatic Andean landscapes, where the desert meets towering volcanic peaks.
A shimmering blue lagoon appears in the middle of the vast, dry highlands. Laguna Cañapa is home to flamingos, Andean gulls, and other high-altitude birds that somehow thrive in this extreme environment.
The contrast of pink flamingos against deep blue water, with golden mountains in the background, makes this a photographer’s dream.
At the golden hour, we reach Laguna Hedionda, our home for the night. The name means “Stinky Lagoon,” due to the sulfur-rich waters, but don’t let that fool you—this place is pure magic.
📍 Why is this lodge special?
✅ It’s built right next to the lagoon, so you’ll wake up surrounded by hundreds of wild flamingos.
✅ Remote, peaceful, and immersed in Bolivia’s untouched nature.
✅ Cozy rooms with warm blankets and heating, so you can relax after a long day of travel.
After a long day crossing salt deserts, remote villages, and volcanic landscapes, we sit down for a well-earned three-course dinner at the lodge.
“You wake up surrounded by silence, broken only by the distant calls of flamingos. The air is crisp, the sky a perfect shade of blue. Today, we venture even deeper—where the earth boils, the landscapes turn red, and the journey ends with a dip in a natural hot spring at the edge of the world.”
There’s something magical about waking up at Laguna Hedionda. Step outside, and you’re greeted by hundreds of flamingos wading in the morning light.
We enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast while watching the sunrise over the lagoon—a perfect way to start our last day of adventure.
We hit the road, driving deeper into Bolivia’s high-altitude landscapes. Along the way, we stop at:
🔹 Laguna Honda – A serene, mirror-like lagoon reflecting the sky.
🔹 Laguna Chiarcota – Another flamingo paradise, framed by rugged mountains.
🔹 Desert Valleys – Endless golden plains where llamas and vicuñas roam free.
Every stop is a new postcard-perfect scene.
Welcome to one of the highest deserts in the world. The Siloli Desert is like stepping onto Mars—an endless expanse of red sand, towering rock formations, and absolute silence.
Here, we visit the famous Árbol de Piedra (Stone Tree)—a surreal rock formation carved by centuries of wind into the shape of a lonely tree standing in the vastness of the desert.
Nothing prepares you for this. Laguna Colorada is an explosion of red, white, and blue, with thousands of pink flamingos moving across its surreal waters.
Why is the water red? It’s natural algae and minerals reacting to the sunlight, creating one of the most alien-looking landscapes on Earth.
We take our time here—this is one of the most breathtaking places in South America.
We enter a land of boiling mud pools, smoking geysers, and volcanic vents. The ground here is alive, hissing and bubbling like something out of a prehistoric world.
At 4,900 meters (16,000 feet) above sea level, this is one of the highest geothermal areas on the planet. The smell of sulfur, the rising steam, and the sound of the earth boiling beneath your feet make this an intense and unforgettable stop.
After three days of adventure, we arrive at Polques Hot Springs, a natural thermal pool overlooking an endless valley.
🌡 The water is naturally heated by volcanic activity, creating the perfect place to relax.
🌅 The view? Unreal—golden hills, deep blue sky, and total silence.
📌 Bring your swimsuit! There’s nothing like soaking in the warm water while surrounded by the wild beauty of the Altiplano.
After our relaxing dip, we enjoy a freshly prepared lunch in this remote paradise.
It’s the kind of moment where you just sit, eat, and take it all in—because you know you’re somewhere truly special.
With our minds full of unforgettable memories, we start our return journey to Uyuni. We’ll drive back through more breathtaking landscapes, stopping for final photo ops and enjoying the last stretch of this legendary trip.
🕕 Estimated arrival in Uyuni: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
From here, you can:
Take an evening flight back to La Paz.
Stay overnight in Uyuni & explore more of Bolivia.
For travelers looking to extend their journey into Chile, we offer a private transfer from Hito Cajón to San Pedro de Atacama at the end of your 3-Day Uyuni Adventure.

Alvin C2024-04-26Verified ¡Un viaje absolutamente alucinante!
